A tool called CCleaner that is used by thousands of IT Companies and MSPs to perform routine maintenance on computers was recently infected with a virus. This virus infection would give hackers remote access to your computer and any information stored on it.
You should be contacting your IT Company and request to know whether any of your computers were affected and if so, what their action plan is. Given that this particular infection potentially allowed hackers remote access to your computers, those computers should be completely wiped and rebuilt.
This would also be a good time to ask your IT Provider if they are going to charge you for cleaning a virus infection caused by their actions………..
